Sustainable by design

The vision of circular economy continues to gather awareness.  Waste management is part of the transition towards a circular economy, which was launched by the European Commission in 2015. The Action Plan for a Circular Economy sets up a concrete action plan that covers the whole life cycle of a product: from production and consumption to waste management and the secondary materials market. 'End of life' converstion of materials to energy vectors actively supports the emerging circular economy model.

Integrated renewable energy and waste management

Renewable energy is derived from a variety of sources creating a portfolio of options. Carbon neutral energy  has responded to the need for enhanced sustainable  waste management by coupling waste management to the production of renewable carbon neutral energy vectors.

The company's innovative technology is designed to convert residual waste i.e. RDF into gaseous and liquid energy vectors which are flexible vectors that are easily stored and transported. The objective is to assist the decarbonisation the transport and heating sectors using sustainable, green technology that uses non recyclable residual waste as a feed stock.

Renewable energy supports the  transistion away from a global economy currently dependent on fossil fuels.

Among the portfolio of energy vectors renewable sustainable hydrogen is recognised as having significant potential to eliminated  a carbon footprint and mitigate climate change.

By design Carbon neutral energy's technology has the flexibility to convert waste to hydrogen and convert the co-product, carbon dioxide, to formic acid an ernerging hydrogen carrier.
